Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan was born to film producer Tahir Hussain and Zeenat. He has a sister named Nikhat and a younger brother, Faisal. He attended St. Anne School in Mumbai and later shifted to Bombay Scottish School, completing his Junior College from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai.
Aamir began his film career with Holi in 1984 and received his first commercial success in 1988 with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, winning a Filmfare Bes Debut Award for his performance.
In 1998, his performance in the movie Earth as the Ice-Candy man received rave reviews from Indian and international critics. He also produced and starred in the Academy Award-nominated Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India in 2001. It was in this year that Aamir established his own production house.
Under his banner he has made movies like Rang De Basanti, which went onto becoming one of the highest grossing films of 2006. He made his director debut with Taare Zameen Par in 2007, which was critically acclaimed and lucrative at the box office.
Aamir has a son and daughter from his first marriage to Renna Dutta, but the pair were divorced in 2002. He subsequently married Kiran Rao who was his assistant in the movie Lagaan.

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya was born to Krishnaraj Rai, a marine engineer, and writer Vrinda Rai. She has an elder brother named Aditya Rai.
Aishwarya completed her schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir School and later joined Jai Hind College in Mumbai.
Her film career began with Mani Ratnam’s film Tamil in 1997, making her Bollywood debut with Aur Pyar Ho Gaya with Bobby Deol.
With many successful films to her name including Jeans, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Taal, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Guru and Dhoom 2, Aishwarya is also a well known face in Hollywood, with films like Bride and Prejudice, Mistress of Spice, Provoked and the imminent Pink Panther 2.

Kajol has a proud Bollywood lineage. Her father Shomu Mukherjee is a film producer, and mother Tanuja is a well known actress. She has a younger sister Tanissha who is trying to establish herself in the industry as an actress too.

Kajol began her acting career with Bekhudi opposite Kamal Sadanah. However, she shot to fame in 1993 with her second film Baazigar. Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan’s father Taj Mohammade Khan was a freedom activist and his mother, Lateef Fatima, a magistrate. Shahrukh has an elder sister named Shabana.
He graduated from Hansraj College, Delhi University and went on to do his Masters in Mass Communication (Filmmaking) from Jamiya Miliya Islamiya in Delhi. He took up an acting course under Barry John, Theatre Director of Theatre Action Group (TAG).
Moving to Mumbai after his parent’s death, he began his career as Abhimanyu Rai in a TV serial, Fauji. He debuted opposite Divya Bharti in Bollwood the film Deewana in 1992. The film went onto become a huge hit, and there was no looking back for Shahrukh.
Popularly known as King Khan, he has a number of successful films to his name including the most successful film of the decade, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Setting up his own production house "Dreamz Unlimited" with friend and actress Juhi Chawla in 2000,

Sushmita Sen

After winning the title of Miss India in 1994, Sushmita went on to be crowned Miss Universe in the same year, aged only 18. This was a most historic year for India, as fellow Indian Aishwarya Rai had also been crowned Miss World.
Sushmita’s father was an officer in the Indian Air Force, and her mother Subhra Sen worked as a fashion artist and jewellery designer. Though she was born in Hyderabad, she grew up in Delhi, attending the school at the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in Delhi and planning a career in journalism.
Adopting a girl, Renee, in 2000, she became a single mother.
Sushmita has won many prestigious awards from institutions including the IIFA, Filmfare, Star Screen, and the Zee Cine awards.
