Sunrise News is broadcast from our Southall studios hourly during daytime and on the half hour during the Breakfast Show. The News Team
News and speech are important elements of Sunrise Radio’s output. We have a full time News Editor and 4 full time journalists. We also offer work experience to school and college students aspiring to work in media.

Average Automated Programming
At Sunrise Radio we pride ourself on the quality of our programmes and listener interaction. We are committed to live programming and as such we promise no automated programming in our programme schedule.
Local Programming
It is our intention that 100% of our programming is locally produced and presented. With the exception of a few hours of overnight programming at weekends, all programming is produced by the station.

We support numerous local charities and non-profit making organisations through our day to day on air activities. We have successfully raised thousands for The Sunrise Radio Pakistan earthquake appeal, The Sunrise Radio Gujarat earthquake, Treatment for Aysha Choudry Lukemea sufferer in India.

Sunrise Radio is fully immersed in everything that happens within the South Asian Community both in the UK and abroad. We broadcast the community’s most comprehensive news and information relating from specific regions of origin within the South Asian Community, which includes magazine programming for the Bangladeshi, Tamil, Sinhalese and Gujarati community. We are also into our third year of the tremendous ‘Asian Lifestyle Show’, this 3 day exhibition is now an established event in the Asian calendar. This three-day exhibition is a colourful extravaganza of food, fashion, music and entertainment, and covers all aspects of British Asian lifestyle from weddings, fashion, health & beauty to home improvement, education & travel to recruitment, business, finance, property and investments.
