The Council Of Indian Muslims Is Urging British Government Not To Let In Hindu Leader

28 July 2010

The Council of Indian Muslims has written to the Home Secretary urging her to stop a Hindu leader Sadhvi Rithambara from entering Britain.

It’s after a commission appointed by the Indian government held her and 67 other Hindu leaders guilty of the demolition of a mosque and violence which led to 3,000 deaths in Gujarat in 2002.

The Priestess is also being investigated for alleged links with bomb blasts carried out by extremist Hindu organisations in India.

The letter was written amid reports Sadhvi is planning to tour Britain in September.
